Kitchen Measurement Conversion Guide

The key to successful baking with consistent results is all in the measurements. There are so many outside variables that can affect the quality of your final product. The temperature of the room, the weather outside, the altitude and the quality of ingredients can all make a difference in whether your treats bake properly or you end up with an oven full of wasted ingredients. By properly measuring each ingredient you lower the probability of errors and mistakes.

That’s why I’ve put together this short guide detailing how the recipes published on Bakeandfrost.com are measured. It’s my hope that this guidebook will ensure that you’re successful when attempting to recreate my recipes.

I scale all of my recipes by weight. It’s the only way I can make sure I’m using proper measurements which makes for a more consistent product. Kitchen scales are extremely inexpensive and accessible so if possible, I definitely recommend that you look into purchasing one. I use this off Amazon for $X.XX. If you would prefer to use cup measurements, I tend to include the equivalent within each recipe.
